What is human resource management..???
Human Resource Management (HRM) is the function within an organization that focuses on recruitment of, management of, and providing direction for the people who work in the organization. Human Resource Management can also be performed by line managers.
Human Resource Management is the organizational function that deals with issues related to people such as compensation, hiring, performance management, organization development, safety, wellness, benefits, employee motivation, communication, administration, and training.
Human Resource Management is also a strategic and comprehensive approach to managing people and the workplace culture and environment. Effective HRM enables employees to contribute effectively and productively to the overall company direction and the accomplishment of the organization's goals and objectives.
Human Resource Management is moving away from traditional personnel, administration, and transactional roles, which are increasingly outsourced. HRM is now expected to add value to the strategic utilization of employees and that employee programs impact the business in measurable ways. The new role of HRM involves strategic direction and HRM metrics and measurements to demonstrate value

Making it easier for SMEs to afford BI tools
KUALA LUMPUR: Business software solutions expert SAP is collaborating with Alliance Bank to offer flexible financing payment options to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that want to invest in subscription-based business intelligence tools.
These tools would enable the SMEs to drive performance improvements throughout the enterprise by being able to use business intelligence data more strategically.
The data provides an insight on everything that proprietors like to know about what makes their business tick - what works, what doesn't, and how much it all costs.
But adopting such solutions can sometimes be expensive and resource-intensive for most SMEs, said Serene Sia, managing director of SAP Malaysia.
"Some of these hurdles include, tighter budgets, less sophistication and organisational knowledge, lack of technology expertise and lower manpower, meaning less time to spend on planning and analysis," she said.
SAP's subscription-based solutions are tailored-made for SMEs and with the Alliance Bank tie-up, will be easier for the businesses to integrate into their organisation, Sia said.
Backed by an open BI platform, the SAP BusinessObjects Edge Standard, the tools provide secure and flexible ad hoc reporting, query and analysis, as well as dashboards.
"Users also benefit from the convenience of 'live' data access in the tools they use everyday, such as Microsoft Office and SharePoint," said Sia.
Three financing plans are available under the deal. The subscriptions range from RM8,800 to RM16,300 per month, inclusive of system implementation, hosting, ongoing support and updates.
The implementation will be done by SAP's local systems integrator, Chain Spirit Sdn Bhd. It will assess customer needs and requirements before making a recommendation.
Applicants can also negotiate payment methods that may be more suited to their business needs, according to Alliance Bank.

Linksys router with speed and style

KUALA LUMPUR: Form and function plays an important part in Cisco's new wireless router, the Linksys E4200, which packs in all the latest wireless technologies in a casing that's already won the 2011 Red Dot design awards.
The E4200 has no visible external antennas, but this dual-band Wireless-N router is built for speed - not only does it have four Gigabit LAN Ethernet ports, it has six antennas hidden within its sleek charcoal black casing: three for the 2.4GHz radio and three for the 5GHz radio.
The E4200's dual band Wireless-N radios can work simultaneously, with the 2.4GHz radio offering wireless speeds of up to 300Mbps while the 5GHz radio can reach speeds of up to 450Mbps.
According to Cisco, the extra speed and relatively interference-free 5GHz band is ideal for uninterrupted streaming of video and audio from network-attached storage devices to your home theatre system, while the 2.4GHz radio can be used for all other devices.
The E4200 also comes with a USB port, which, unlike in previous Linksys models, will automatically recognise and mount any USB storage device and share it across the network.
Despite the high-end features on tap, Cisco said that the E4200 is relatively easy to set up with the bundled Cisco Connect software, which guides the user through setting up an Internet connection as well as wireless access in just three steps.
The E4200 is available now and has a recommended retail price of RM629.

My name is Muhammad Fazli Bin Idris. I am 19 years old and from Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor. I was born at Hospital Besar Tanjung Malim, Perak on 19 February 1992 and grew up in kampong soeharto. My father, Idris 51 opened his own business by opening groceries store and my mother, Hayati 43 also opened her business by opening clothing and stationery store. Where my other siblings Faizol 21,Linda 15,fauzan 13 and Farra 7 were born as well. I am second child .My first education was in Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Kg. Soeharto and further study at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Soeharto. After graduating from high-school, I got an offer from Matriculation to continued my study in accountancy. I enjoyed my studies for one year at there. After completion of the programed on the matriculation, I was worked in Panasonic factory as operator at Shah Alam, Selangor almost 3 month. On 6 September 2011,I began studying in degree of Human Resource at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) in Malacca.
In 2009, I was entrusted by the school to hold the position as head of students for 2008/2009 session. Initially, I was not sure about my position because for me, a big responsibility is come from a big position and to be a leader I need to be more confidence and more responsibility but, I was so lucky man because I have parents, teachers and lastly but no least my friend who were always support me. So, on the date of January 25, 2009, I hereby officially held the position as head of the school student. Same like other years, the head leader have read the vows in front of all students and teachers to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to them. And that day it’s happened to me. I do not know how to describe my feelings when I had read the vows on the stage that I had never and ever be there. It is out on my mind, how the troubled student like me could be a leader. Maybe everything that happened was destiny, so I will accept it. Deep in my heart, I want to be a best leader than the others leader before. That was my determination.
Everyone has a dream, and so do i. I want to be a manager of human resource. Now I am 19,and probably graduating from my study when I am 22.Then, I want to find a job quickly, do not want to chill, relax or what so ever. Because for me, it is just waste my time and I believe I will get the time one fine day, one more thing, the chance to get a job is very difficult now. I need to compete with others. After I get the job ,I want to buy a house, car and the same time want to save a some from my income to perform hajj with my family. Settle all of that, I want to get married and run my responsibility as a husband and head of my family.
